  This was our first time staying at the Mermaid's Porch but will definitely not be our last when in Portsmouth. Dawn is a wonderful host, owner and cook and Jack is the four legged mascot that loves to be scratched. Sitting on the front porch and sipping her wine was most enjoyable.

  This was my family's first B & B experience and OMG! The house is like a museum with so many stories to tell. The host, Dawn was AMAZING and she's a vet! We gotta support our retired military! The breakfast was delicious! There is a dog there... Jack. I was a little worried about that however, he's a doll! He doesn't bark or anything. Area has lots to do. This place will be like your home away from home! We will be back!
